We’re working with a long-established Yorkshire bakery and preserves manufacturer who are on the hunt for a Quality Assurance officer to join the team.

 

They’re a premium brand, with the likes of Harrods and Selfridges proudly having our clients products on their shelves.

 

This isn’t just another factory floor job. It’s a chance to play a key role in ensuring every biscuit, cake, jam and chutney meets the very highest standards of taste, safety and consistency. You’ll be working in a SALSA-accredited site with a passionate team that takes real pride in what they make.

 

You’ll be hands-on across production, keeping a close eye on product quality from raw ingredients through to finished goods. That means running regular checks, monitoring hygiene and processes, and making sure everything is compliant, consistent and delicious.

 

You’ll also be involved in audits, supporting new product launches, and helping the team continuously improve how things are done. It’s a busy, varied role – ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet, solving problems and taking ownership.

 

You’ll already have experience in food manufacturing, ideally in a quality or technical role. Level 2 Food Hygiene and HACCP are must-haves, along with a good eye for detail and confidence using systems like Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

You’re someone who doesn’t just spot issues – you fix them. You’re organised, proactive and you care about doing things right. If you’ve worked with SALSA systems or have experience in baking or preserves, that’s a real bonus.

 

We can pay up to £35,000 depending on experience, with an annual bonus on top of that. 22 days holiday with a buy / sell scheme too. There’s also a fantastic 50% discount on online orders (you’ll be a fan favourite at Christmas!).

 

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with a degree of flexibility required for audits / new launches. HU4 based.
