Depot Based Engineer

East Midlands (LE65)
Permanent
Up to £42,000
Engineering| Powered Access

If you know your way around powered access equipment and enjoy getting stuck into proper engineering work without being micromanaged, this could be right up your street.

Our client are growing fast, and with one of the youngest fleets in the industry, they’re looking for an experienced Depot Based Powered Access Engineer to join the team at their East Midlands depot. This is a role for someone who takes pride in fixing things properly, enjoys fault finding, and wants to work for a business that’s genuinely going places.

Day to day you’ll be carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs across a modern fleet of powered access equipment and telehandlers. One minute you’ll be diagnosing hydraulic faults, the next you’ll be sorting electrical issues or preparing machines ready for delivery. No two days are quite the same, which is exactly how most engineers like it.

You’ll need previous experience working on MEWPs, plant machinery or forklifts, along with solid knowledge of hydraulics and electrics. IPAF 3a/3b and CAP certifications would definitely help, but they’re not deal breakers. What matters most is attitude, mechanical ability and the confidence to manage your own workload.

What makes this opportunity stand out is the business itself. They’ve built a strong reputation since launching in 2014 and continues to expand nationally. They invest heavily in both their fleet and their people, meaning you’ll be working on modern, reliable kit with genuine opportunities to progress your career long term.

Alongside a salary of £30,000–£42,000 depending on experience, there’s overtime available, 33 days holiday including a festive shutdown, pension, life insurance and health & wellbeing support.

If you’re looking for a fresh challenge with a company that’s ambitious, stable and growing for all the right reasons, this is well worth a conversation.
