You can really grow in this role. You’re essentially being the first person in a brand-new department. As the business grows, we envisage this team growing with it too. If you’ve got the ambition, you’ll be leading it.
We’re looking for someone with a background within Supply Chain or Logistics naturally. You’ll be nifty with contract negotiations, managing new and existing suppliers, and using that supply chain to service customers effectively.
The industry is Hire. Tools, Plant and Powered Access Hire. This business has a huge presence across the Midlands but works much further afield – this is where the supply chain is so vital.
Day to day you’ll be working with the businesses preferred suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled.
You’ll have the confidence and ability to negotiate the best rates to ensure profitability, but wise in ensuring delivery from our suppliers is seamless and the customer gets the very best service.
If profitability or service isn’t at it’s best, this is where you step in to fix it.
If you’ve got a background in Hire that’s massively preferred, but we’d be open to hearing from candidates within any form of equipment rental or a construction background.
This is a business that has been operating the best part of 30 years with a headcount of 70 staff, they have got to where they have today putting a lot of faith in its staff and looking after them.
We’re offering up to £30k basic, with 23 days holiday and private healthcare as standard. It’s a Monday to Friday role working 7:30am – 5pm, office based in NG8.
